Cambodia and Thailand: Publishing Consultancy

January 8-12, 2007

MAI network trainer Ramon Rocha traveled to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to provide one-on-one consulting assistance for the managing director of Fount of Wisdom publishing house. Of his time in Cambodia, Ramon said, “I left behind some practical tools and outcomes for FOW’s work.” These included: reformulated vision and mission statements; a new marketing plan; a list of book projects through 2008 and projected sales for each book; blue sky thinking and goals through 2012. “I thank God for His enabling to be able to help Steve do all that in one week,” Ramon commented.

From Cambodia, Ramon traveled to Bangkok, Thailand, for consultancy work with the OMF-related publishing house, Kanok Bannasan. “My visit was timely, as they wanted inputs on how to improve board-management functions, how to streamline operations, and my thoughts on what factors to consider if they move the publishing house to a new location outside the city.”
