“Ramon is ideally suited to lead MAI efforts to equip Christian publishing staff in countries where readers are hungry for locally authored Christian materials,” MAI President John Maust said. He joins MAI staff with 15 years’ experience in Christian publishing and international training. For the last 12 years, Ramon has volunteered with MAI, offering training and consultation to publishing leaders and authors in 11 countries, including China, Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and others. He was the founding chair of MAI-Asia. Ramon is the author of The Christian Publisher: Strong in the Storm in the Expand Your LittWorld series, published by MAI.

As former CEO of OMF Literature, Inc, in the Philippines, Ramon led it to become the nation’s largest Christian publishing house during his leadership from 1997 to 2008. Adept in spearheading change and innovation, coaching managers, and developing Christ-centered mission and vision, his successes resulted from a constant pursuit of excellence. He holds an MBA and BS in Business Economics.

Ramon begins his new role with MAI on a part-time basis, while continuing also to serve as literature development coordinator for OMF International in Asia, a position he’s held for the last 3 years.

He and his wife, Grace, have four grown children, and attend Harvest Bible Chapel in Naperville, Illinois.

Since its founding in 1985, MAI has advanced the Gospel by equipping local Christian publishers, editors and writers in 63 countries on 5 continents.
