Inside MAI Blog: Thoughts on global publishing
Your vote of support for MAI
I want you to know about a unique opportunity available to MAI. It’s one where every vote counts, literally.
The program, “Giving of Life,” combines grant-making with social media. Only ministries with an annual budget of under $4 million may participate.
Here’s how it works. Ministries submit profiles to the Giving of Life website. Then participating ministries are asked to invite their respective “fan bases” to go online and vote for them. After the voting ends, a list of the top 10 vote-getters is compiled. Then, from that list, a selection committee chooses the top 3 ministries for grant awards of $50,000, $20,000 and $10,000, respectively.
Voting will end Friday, November 4, at 5 p.m. EST. Winners will be announced Friday, December 16.
Earlier this week, we submitted MAI’s profile information, and our profile is now “live” on the site. Click this link, and you will see the MAI page with information about our training ministry and a green “VOTE” button.
I hope you will cast your vote for us, and encourage your friends to do the same. After you vote, scroll down the page to "SHARE PROJECT". Please like, tweet, or send an email to your friends to introduce them to MAI and urge them to vote.
“Giving of Life” is not a popularity contest or an “American Idol” for Christian nonprofits. Rather it is a creative effort to help raise awareness and involvement with Christian ministries of all kinds.
Do you have any creative ideas on how MAI can get out the word (and vote) for this unique opportunity?
