Inside MAI Blog: Thoughts on global publishing
Growing Big Trees for the Gospel
At the end of a flight as the plane taxis to the gate, the captain will often announce, “We hope you enjoyed traveling with us today. We recognize that you have a choice in air travel. Thank you for choosing XXX Airlines.”
In a similar vein, I want to thank you who partner with MAI through your gifts and prayers. We know there are many worthy Christian causes from which to choose, and we’re deeply grateful that you have chosen MAI.
Our work may not have the same sense of urgency as, say, hurricane recovery or famine relief, as important as these are. Yet in its own unique way, MAI ministry makes a strategic and lasting impact.
Each book published as a result of MAI training has the potential to transform a person’s life for Christ, to nurture a nation’s church and impact its society.
MAI’s work is something like the mustard seed described by Jesus: “Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches.”
Your gifts and prayers will help to plant the seed of the Gospel through Christian publishing in places like South Sudan, Kyrgyzstan, and China. Pray with us this seed grows into a big tree for the advance of Christ’s kingdom around the world.
